Fay Island is a couple miles north of Discovery Bay on Old River in San Joaquin County. The closest marinas are Holland Marina, and Bullfrog Marina and Discovery Bay.
Fay Island was separated from Bacon Island in the early 20th century, and born as a duck-hunting club. The club was successful, and has hosted notables such as John Wayne and Clark Gable. In the early 1980’s the island was purchased by a group of families as a vacation spot.
The island is now a VRBO by summer, and an amazing duck club in the winter months. It also has an active organic farm and supports a variety of goats and sheep.
The main island is over 85 acres, and features an amazing 1.3 mile look atom the embankment. Stunning views of the water, and unbelievable sunrises & sunsets.
